I examined the expensive cameras and compared it to the CoolCam. First impression from comments was it's a functional camera that is easy to set up. Received my order within a week and immediately set it up. They provided 3 different easy to follow instructions for Iphone, Android and Laptop. Set up took just a few minutes to download the free app for WIFI mobile tracking and notification. Then it was testing time. Different locations, lighting, no lighting, resolution etc. As far as functionality and clarity, it met my expectations but did not exceed them. Functionality is fine as it does everything everyone else reported. My smartphone is the Samsung Note II which displays HD and it worked fine. My phone vibrates and rings when there is movement in the house. I simply tap the icon and it takes a few seconds to see the live image.You can set sensitivity of movement if you have pets. You can record the image as well as a snapshot or video. The sound wasn't as good as I was hoping as the speaker is the size of a small transistor radio. It has talk back and it's also not as clear as I hoped but worked fine. As far as clarity, it's about as clear as the video you see on the 10 o'clock news. Not bad for an inexpensive camera but not sharp and defined as the pictures in the ad. Overall.satisfied for my first camera. The app allows up to 10 cameras so I am thinking of buying a little higher resolution camera and using them both in tandem. One for each room. It was advertised to have. IR 15m night vision. But I can only get it to work in clear daylight. This camera was purchased to view my car from vandalism. The car is parked within 10' of my porch. Since there is no IR night vision, I can not see anything but darkness.

Apparently the vandals are supposed to come by in the daylight. I searched for hours for software to run this camera. The only one program that worked, was not customizable. I used the device on homey to change the curtain position a few times, then I clicked a few times on the buttons on the CC (up and down).
