You can see how valuable the Dreamworld can be early on, too, as it can allow you to take a break from attacking enemies and move into a better position or use a healing item. Only 10-15 minutes in, I was able to have a bunch of attunements active at one time, and how it works is that you gain slots as you level up and can put these attunements into the slots when you rest. These can have all kinds of effects, from the previously-mentioned ability to remain in the Dreamworld indefinitely to doubling damage against certain types of enemies. Some only work in certain conditions, however; I had put on the first armor I came across, only to later realize that an attunement I had gave me magical armor so long as I didn’t have any equipped.
