Depending on the TV there may be some additional scart socket which outputs the digital channels (see your TV manual for info on this). If there is such a socket then it should be possible to connect a scart from this socket to the AV2 input scart socket on the LG recorder. You would then be able to record the digital TV channel you are tuned to at the time. Your TV would have to be on all the time for recording and you probably would not be able to watch any other channel whilst doing this. To record freeview on your LG recorder do it the simple way. Purchase a freeview SET TOP BOX and connect the TV scart from this STB to the AV2 input socket on the recorder. For recording - select AV2 as the input source to the recorder and it will record whichever station you have the STB tuned into.
